The Colour Of Ferrari.
INTRODUCTION
Exclusively offered by CHROME TEMPLE, this 812 Superfast represents a high-water mark in Ferrari’s history. Naturally aspirated V12, 6.5 litres, revving to an almighty 8,900 RPM, and driving the rear wheels alone. All at a time that the automotive industry was turning sharply in favour of turbocharging and hybridisation.
Finished in "Giallo Modena," a hue tied deeply to the Ferrari crest and Modena's municipal colours. It's understood to account for fewer than four per cent of production and even fewer, of course, in RHD delivered to Australia. Extensive carbon fibre runs inside and out and the iconic exterior colour is carried through the cabin in Extra-Range Yellow leather details, yellow belts, stitching and rev counter. Tastefully done and in a way that separates it from any other 812.
"Astonishing engine and performance, approachable handling, incredible noise" - EVO ★★★★★
VEHICLE HIGHLIGHTS
This 2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast is presented in one of the most striking and comprehensively specified configurations and one that is rarely seen. Displaying 19,153 km from new, finished in Giallo Modena over Nero leather with Extra-Range Yellow interior details, it represents Ferrari's front-engined V12 berlinetta of the pre-hybrid era in a specification that is bold, cohesive and thoroughly considered.
Giallo Modena carries particular weight on a car of this kind. It is one of Ferrari's founding colours and among the most instantly recognisable in the marque's palette, yet it is understood to account for fewer than four per cent of 812 Superfast production, against the red, black and silver cars that dominate twelve-cylinder output. On a car whose surfacing, aerodynamic by-pass channels and rear diffuser reward a light colour, it transforms the design from imposing to arresting, and gives this example an immediate point of difference on an increasingly uniform secondary market.
The specification carries that intent throughout. Carbon fibre appears on the front bumper mouth, rear side bumpers and rear diffuser externally, and across the driver zone with LEDs, central bridge, upper centre console and dash inserts within. Twenty-inch forged wheels are finished in Nero DS 1250 Lucido against yellow brake callipers, while inside, yellow safety belts, Giallo 0113 special stitching, a Cavallino stitched to the headrests in matching thread and a yellow rev counter carry the exterior colour through the cabin.
Presented in outstanding condition, delivered by Ferrari Sydney in November 2018 and complemented with full Ferrari main dealer service history, she's truly ready for her next custodian to enjoy.

MODEL HISTORY
The 812 Superfast was born at a critical moment for Ferrari's twelve-cylinder engine. By 2017 the V8 line had been turbocharged for two years with the 488, LaFerrari had proven the hybrid case, and every manufacturer still building large-capacity naturally aspirated engines was quietly retiring them. For the industry, downsizing was a settled argument. For Maranello's V12 programme, it was a question that demanded an answer.
Ferrari's answer, unveiled at Geneva in March 2017, was not to turbocharge the V12 but to enlarge it. Displacement rose from 6.3 to 6.5 litres, and through a 350 bar direct injection system, a first on a high-performance engine, paired with variable-geometry intake tracts derived from naturally aspirated racing practice, output reached 800 cv. Sixty more than the F12 Berlinetta. At its launch it was the most powerful naturally aspirated production car engine ever built, and the most powerful road-going Ferrari of any kind outside the limited-series specials. The name said as much: eight hundred horsepower, twelve cylinders.
Importantly, the car was more than its engine. The 812 was the first Ferrari fitted with electric power steering, integrated with the fifth generation of Side Slip Control and, in another first, the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 system, combining front steering assistance with rear-wheel steering so that a car nearly four and a half metres long turned as though it were considerably shorter. It retained the transaxle architecture that had defined Ferrari's front-engined twelves since the 550 Maranello, and paired it with active aerodynamic flaps beneath the nose and a by-pass channel in the rear flank.
The name carried its own weight. Superfast is among Ferrari's most exclusive designations, first applied to a Pininfarina show car on a 410 Superamerica chassis at the 1956 Paris Motor Show, and later to the 500 Superfast of 1964, a hand-built grand tourer produced in just thirty-six examples for clients including the Aga Khan, the Shah of Iran and Peter Sellers. Ferrari has used the word sparingly, and only ever on front-engined twelve-cylinder cars.
The timing matters in retrospect. The 812 arrived in Ferrari's seventieth anniversary year, seven decades after the 125 S introduced the Colombo V12 in 1947. Cars built through 2019 left Maranello without petrol particulate filters; from 2020 they were fitted as standard. The 812 Competizione that followed in 2021 pushed the engine further still, but was capped at 999 examples. The Superfast remained the attainable expression of the formula, and when production concluded, the front-engined V12 berlinetta passed to the 12Cilindri.
That is why the 812 Superfast matters. It is not simply a fast Ferrari GT. It is the point at which Maranello answered the case against the naturally aspirated twelve by making it larger, louder and more powerful than it had ever been, and the last berlinetta of that bloodline built before emissions hardware reached the tailpipe.
FINAL SUMMARY
Few modern Ferraris state their case as directly as the 812 Superfast. Eight hundred horsepower drawn from 6.5 naturally aspirated litres, driving the rear wheels alone through a transaxle, a formula Ferrari has refined since 1947, and here taken to its highest series-production expression.
This example is distinguished by its specification and rare colour. Giallo Modena, understood to account for fewer than four per cent of production, over Nero with Extra-Range Yellow leather details, suspension lifter, extensive carbon fibre inside and out with full main dealer service history.
One of Ferrari's founding colours combined with the last of its unfiltered twelves.
