The 2019 V8 Vantage marked a new era for Aston Martin — a full redesign that combined British craftsmanship with German engineering precision. Powered by a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 from Mercedes-AMG, the car was tuned in-house to deliver a distinctive personality, savage soundtrack, and uncompromising performance.

Built on Aston’s latest bonded aluminium platform, the Vantage introduced sharper proportions, shorter overhangs, and improved weight distribution. For the first time in a core production Aston Martin, true downforce was achieved through integrated aero features like the front splitter and rear diffuser — a reflection of motorsport DNA inspired by the Vantage GTE endurance racer.

The Vantage also debuted the brand’s first use of an electronic rear differential (E-Diff), allowing adaptive torque vectoring and confidence-inspiring traction at speed. Combined with 3-stage adaptive damping, Track Mode, and a rear-mounted ZF 8-speed transmission, it offered a sharper, more connected drive than any of its predecessors.

Aston Martin’s bespoke interior remained focused on driver engagement, but introduced greater tech and customisation, including DAB radio, 360° cameras, and AMG-derived infotainment. The 2019 Vantage reasserted itself in a class dominated by the Porsche 911, offering more theatre, character, and long-term collectability.
