The New Era

Unveiled at the 2004 Paris Motor Show to much fanfare, the F430 was THE new benchmark. Although it used the outgoing 360 Modenas basic Alcoa chassis, the car was a significant step up in every facet from the outgoing model.

Designed by Pininfarina in collaboration with Frank Stephenson (Director of Ferrari-Maserati Concept Design and Development) the F430 incorporated design elements from the Enzo, whilst also using design elements from Ferraris extensive heritage catalogue of hits. With a significant increase in capacity, this all new engine was a big departure from the previous generation engines that could trace their lineage back some 50 years to the Dino race program. Putting out some 360kw at a screaming 8500rpm, the other biggest significant improvement was the spread of torque right across the rev range making this car feel MUCH punchier in day to day driving, whilst retaining a scintillating top end rush.

The F430 was the first production car that utilised the now famous “E-Diff”, a computer controlled limited-slip differential that could meter out torque to each wheel based on angle, steering input, power and so on. Coupled to the use of an F1 inspired “Manettino” switch for selecting drive modes, the F430 really move the game on by integrating tech developed from its hugely successful F1 campaigning in the early 2000’s.

This stunning Australian delivered car is very special for the fact that it has undergone an incredible transformation from F1 paddle shift, to the much more desirable open-gate manual. A passion project done at enormous expense in conjunction with Ferrari gurus, Cavallino Motorsport, this car utilises Ferrari factory parts and offers a driving experience that is unrivalled by all but a handful of cars.

With an extensive digitised history file showing all the invoicing, parts and extensive service history, this car has been maintained to an impressive standard and is an absolute credit to the seller.

Aside from the desirability of the manual gearbox, this car also has the best specification of any F430 that we’ve ever seen at CHROME TEMPLE. Presented in gorgeous Grigio Silverstone over Nero Hide, this car also has the following factory fitted options:

- Carbon Ceramic Brakes

- Giallo (yellow) Calipers

- Carbon fibre interior trim package

- Carbon fibre steering wheels

- Giallo (yellow) rev-counter

- Carbon fibre rear grill

- Front and rear parking sensors

- Challenge wheels

- Racing seat in medium, trimmed in Nero Connolly leather

- Leather headliner

- Upgraded wifi-with subwoofer

- Carbon fibre dash inserts

Non-factory items are limited to a full stainless Kline exhaust (utilising the stock factory tips) and H&R springs at the front end,  and the car also has a full PPF wrap for peace of mind.

With F430s prices now significantly on the rise and a manual gearbox commanding a $50K+ premium over its F1 sibling, this gorgeous car represents a significant saving over a factory manual car whilst giving 100% of the ownership experience.
