Finished in Oxford White, the exterior draws directly from the famous Moffat Ford Dealers XC Falcon with its Bathurst '77 livery, black-painted bonnet, boot lid and mirror caps, retro rear spoiler and gold Tickford 10-spoke alloy wheels. This example also carries the #1 race number decals across the doors and roof, a feature not fitted to every completed Bathurst '77 Special.

Underneath the tribute styling sits a comprehensively upgraded Mustang GT. Its Roush-developed supercharger system takes the 5.0-litre V8 to 542 kW and 827 Nm, delivered through a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1977 Bathurst 1000 produced one of the defining moments in Australian motorsport history. Allan Moffat and Jacky Ickx led Colin Bond and Alan Hamilton across the line in a famous formation finish, securing a dominant Ford 1–2 and creating an image that remains synonymous with the Blue Oval in Australia.

Four decades later, the Bathurst '77 Special was created to commemorate the 40th anniversary of that achievement and formed part of the return of the Tickford name to Australian performance motoring.

Based on the Ford Mustang GT, the Bathurst '77 Special went considerably further than a cosmetic tribute. Its 5.0-litre V8 received a Ford Performance/Roush Stage 2 supercharger package, lifting output to 542 kW and 827 Nm. Tickford complemented the additional performance with its bespoke Track Spec exhaust, upgraded suspension, Wilwood braking system and staggered 20-inch wheels.

Its visual identity drew directly from the Moffat Ford Dealers XC Falcon, with Oxford White paintwork contrasted by black exterior elements, gold wheels and a modern interpretation of the famous 1977 race livery.

Production was intended to comprise 77 conversions, but only 44 cars were ultimately completed. The result is one of the rarer modern Tickford creations and a car that connects the Mustang era of Australian Ford performance directly with one of the marque's greatest Bathurst achievements.
