INTRODUCTION
The HSV GTSR represents the final swansong of Australia’s iconic supercharged V8 sedan, a platform defined by raw performance, cultural significance and finite production. This particular example, build #0810, is further elevated by its low kilometres from new, one owner status and its remarkably preserved, factory-correct condition.
Presented here in unmodified form, Heron White over Jet Black interior, it serves as an exceptional example of one of HSV’s road-going performance Commodores. Supported by a complete service history, recent servicing in February 2026 and retaining original factory protective items, it stands as a genuine end-of-line “bookend” car, capturing not just the peak of HSV engineering, but the closing moment of an entire era.
VEHICLE HIGHLIGHTS
This 2017 HSV GTSR is presented in exceptional condition throughout, reflective of both its low mileage and careful ownership from new. Delivered new in June 2017 and remaining entirely unmodified, it represents a highly original, investment-grade example of one of HSV’s final supercharged sedans. Finished in stark Heron White, one of the most iconic and recognisable colours associated with the model, over a Jet Black interior, the specification is both timeless and true to the car’s performance-focused identity.
Mechanically, it represents the most refined iteration of HSV’s LSA formula, pairing 435 kW and 740 Nm with Magnetic Ride Control, AP Racing braking and a torque-vectoring limited slip differential. Backed by a complete and consistent service history and recent servicing in February 2026, it is offered in outstanding mechanical and cosmetic condition, ready for immediate enjoyment or long-term collection. A true pride and joy example that has been cherished by its one and only owner since its first registration.

A WORD FROM THE OWNER:
"As a long-time Holden enthusiast, owning one of the final high-performance cars from Holden Special Vehicles was a must, and the moment I saw the HSV GTSR Sedan on a showroom floor, I knew it was the one. I ordered the car and followed its journey from South Australia to Melbourne, even touring the HSV factory and seeing it come together, making the experience incredibly special. As build number 810 of just 1,000 produced (and one of only 206 in Heron White), its rarity and significance stood out, especially as one of the last Australian-built performance icons. Its styling and performance set it apart, and I’ve maintained it meticulously with careful servicing and premium care. Today, it presents exceptionally well throughout, further enhanced with ceramic coating and window tint, and remains a true piece of Australian motoring history."
MODEL HISTORY
The HSV GTSR marks one of the final evolutions of a lineage that defined Australian performance for over three decades. From the early HSV-enhanced Commodores through to the introduction of the GTS nameplate in the early 1990s, the formula remained consistent, a rear-wheel-drive V8 sedan engineered locally for Australian conditions, combining everyday usability with serious performance.
Over time, that formula was progressively refined, incorporating more advanced chassis technology, higher outputs and increasingly sophisticated dynamics. By 2017, HSV had distilled this into its most complete form. The GTSR combined the supercharged LSA platform with Magnetic Ride Control, advanced braking and torque vectoring, creating a car that not only delivered straight-line performance, but genuine all-round capability.
What defines the GTSR, however, is its timing. Produced in the final months of Australian automotive manufacturing, it represents the end of the locally built Holden Commodore and the conclusion of Australia’s V8 sedan era. As a result, it stands not just as a performance car, but as a cultural and historical marker, the closing chapter of a category that will not return.
FINAL SUMMARY
For those who understand what these cars represent, this 2017 HSV GTSR Sedan speaks for itself. A genuine low-kilometre example with just 5,010 km, complete history, original inclusions, and presented exactly as it left Holden Special Vehicles, untouched, unmodified, and carefully preserved. Finished in the right colour combination and backed by its build authenticity, it ticks every box serious buyers look for.
Cars like this aren’t judged against ordinary vehicles, they’re measured by rarity, condition, and provenance. On all fronts, this one delivers. Defined by rarity, historical significance and genuine usability, the GTSR occupies a unique position in the modern collector landscape.
The last of its kind, raw, rare, and irreplaceable.
