A New Era, Same Heart

‍

INTRODUCTION
‍

Finished in Nero Noctis with exposed carbon fibre, enormous Altanero forged wheels and flashes of Rosso from its brake calipers, the Revuelto looks every bit like the Lamborghini flagship should.

Then you press the start button.

Behind you, an entirely new 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 fires into life. It revs beyond 9,000 rpm, but now there are three electric motors waiting alongside it, filling in what the V12 cannot and taking total output to 747 kW.

This is where the Revuelto becomes more than simply Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid flagship. Electrification has not quietened the experience. It has made it faster, sharper and more immediate, while leaving the part that matters most completely intact. There is still a naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder engine behind your shoulders, still a pair of scissor doors above you and still that sense of theatre that has defined Lamborghini’s greatest cars for generations.

That is what makes the Revuelto so important. At a point when the V12 could easily have become history, Lamborghini found a new way to make it relevant.

Electrified, yes. But still unmistakably Lamborghini.

VEHICLE HIGHLIGHTS

This MY25 Lamborghini Revuelto is a one-owner example with just 167 km from new. These are delivery kilometres, and the car presents as new. Finished in Nero Noctis, its specification is led by upper and lower shiny carbon-fibre exterior packages, 21/22-inch Altanero forged wheels in Shiny Black, matt-carbon wheel caps and carbon-ceramic brakes with Rosso calipers.

At its heart is Lamborghini’s all-new 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12. On its own, it produces 607 kW and 725 Nm, with peak power arriving at 9,250 rpm. Three electric motors lift total system output to 747 kW, giving the Revuelto all-wheel drive and enough performance to reach 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. Top speed is beyond 350 km/h.

The entire drivetrain was rethought. Lamborghini rotated the V12 by 180 degrees and positioned the new eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox transversely behind it. This freed the central tunnel for the high-voltage battery and created a completely new layout for Lamborghini’s flagship.

The chassis received the same clean-sheet treatment. Its carbon-fibre monofuselage is 10% lighter than the Aventador monocoque and 25% more torsionally rigid. The front structure is also made entirely from carbon fibre, while four-wheel steering and electric torque vectoring allow the hybrid system to contribute to handling as well as outright performance.

Inside, Nero Ade leather and Corsa Tex are contrasted by Rosso Alala stitching. The interior carbon package, carbon steering wheel package, fully electric and heated seats, passenger display and Sonus faber High End Sound System make this a particularly complete specification. Front lift adds the usability expected of a car intended to be enjoyed beyond the showroom.

MODEL HISTORY

Lamborghini’s relationship with the V12 reaches almost to the beginning of the company itself.

Ferruccio Lamborghini founded Automobili Lamborghini in 1963. Production began the following year with the 350 GT, establishing the twelve-cylinder engine at the top of the young company’s range. More than six decades later, that same basic idea remains central to Lamborghini’s flagship.

Then came the Miura.

Introduced in 1966, the Miura placed its V12 behind the occupants and helped establish the architecture of the modern mid-engined supercar. Lamborghini describes it as the first supercar, and at the time it was also among the fastest production road cars in the world. It set a pattern that Lamborghini would spend decades making increasingly dramatic.

The Countach followed with its wedge-shaped body, extraordinary proportions and vertically opening doors. Those doors became one of the defining visual signatures of Lamborghini’s V12 flagships. The Diablo carried the formula into the 1990s, before the Murciélago arrived in 2001 and moved the V12 lineage into Lamborghini’s Audi-owned era.

The Aventador arrived in 2011 and represented another major engineering reset. It introduced a new-generation V12 and carbon-fibre monocoque, then served as Lamborghini’s flagship for more than a decade. By the time the final Aventador Ultimae was produced in 2022, the purely naturally aspirated V12 era was coming to an end.

Electrification was already approaching. The limited-production Sián had shown that electric assistance and a Lamborghini V12 could coexist, but it was a technological preview rather than a replacement for the Aventador.

The Revuelto was the real turning point.

Introduced in 2023, it became Lamborghini’s first HPEV hybrid super sports car. More importantly, Lamborghini did not simply electrify the Aventador. It developed a new 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, three electric motors, a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and an entirely new carbon-fibre architecture.

Even the basic layout was transformed. The V12 was rotated through 180 degrees. The transmission moved behind the engine. The battery occupied the central tunnel, while two electric motors took responsibility for the front axle. A third motor became part of the rear drivetrain.

The result is a car that belongs unmistakably to the same bloodline as the Miura, Countach, Diablo, Murciélago and Aventador, yet approaches the V12 supercar from an entirely new direction.

That is what makes the Revuelto significant.

It arrived at the moment Lamborghini could have treated the naturally aspirated V12 as part of its past. Instead, electrification became the technology that allowed Lamborghini to carry it into the future.

How long engines like this remain possible is impossible to know.

For now, the Revuelto represents one of the most important chapters yet in Lamborghini’s V12 story.

‍FINAL SUMMARY

The Revuelto represents one of the biggest changes in Lamborghini’s V12 lineage, yet the heart of the experience remains reassuringly familiar.

Around the engine, almost everything is new. Three electric motors, an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a carbon-fibre monofuselage bring Lamborghini’s flagship firmly into the electrified era. Together, the V12 and three electric motors produce 747 kW, with performance that moves the V12 supercar into another league.

Yet sitting behind the cabin is still an entirely naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder engine, producing its peak power at 9,250 rpm.

This example adds a particularly strong specification. Nero Noctis is paired with upper and lower shiny carbon-fibre exterior packages, 21/22-inch Altanero forged wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes with Rosso calipers. Inside, Nero Ade leather and Corsa Tex are contrasted by Rosso Alala stitching and extensive carbon fibre. Sonus faber High End Sound, a passenger display, fully electric and heated seats and front lift complete the specification.

One owner. 167 delivery kilometres from new. It presents as new. Its five-year maintenance package and factory warranty until 31 December 2028 add further confidence.

The world around the V12 changed.

Lamborghini found a way to make sure it came with us.
