The Mercedes-AMG CLK63 Black Series will go down as one of the wildest (and most desirable) factory race homologation series ever produced. Only 500 were constructed to meet the race-ready criteria, the majority of which were sent to the USA where they were unfortunately delivered with ‘comfort seats’ due to local legislation.
Just 120 were produced in RHD with 32 numbered cars delivered to Australia. This stunning example is vehicle #8, and unlike the American counterparts, it has factory fitted race seats. Of the 32, several met their intended fate on track and with value depleting modifications. Based on our estimates, fewer than 20 examples still exist in "investment quality" condition such as this specimen.
Completely unmolested, unmodified and unpainted, this most desirable of vehicles would suit the fussiest of collectors (like us).
With a whopping 500bhp 6.2L V8 shoe horned into the tiny chassis of a CLK, they just don’t (read can’t) make cars like this. With a rear seat delete, factory fitted race seats, carbon door trims and the coolest internal door handle you will ever see (solid billet milled), there is no surprise this is so many influential collectors' favourite AMG.
The iconic wheels are some of, if not the most, stunning wheels ever placed on a production car (well, in our mind anyway).
The flared carbon + plastic guards are the real "if you know, you know" give away for this car. The more angles you look at it, the more amazing it becomes - as does the realisation that they just can’t make cars like this anymore.
This vehicle resides in the CHROME TEMPLE Investments (CTi) Mach 1 Fleet and has been selected, maintained and preserved under the highest of scrutiny and standards. Rest assured that this vehicle is of the highest investment grade calibre. Inspection is encouraged and will not disappoint.
